The Drive is On!

I could see her in the carpool line, she was very excited! It is always something fun but I began to imagine what it would be on this day. Was it the cute boy whom teases her endlessly or was there a new student in class that got to sit next to her? As she jumped in the car she laughed out "Mom, I went in and talked with the principal today"! "What (Thinking what)?" Carly preceded to say
"I told her about Formula for Haiti, she wants me to make a flier and then she will send it to the ministration (administration) building to be approved." She was so happy with herself and I was proud of her.

The fliers were made, approved, printed (at 50% off from Kinkos...THANK YOU!), and sent out yesterday. We are going to host a pizza party to the class that collects the most formula. We are praying for big results!

Carly has also inspired others to host drives as well. My sister is hosting one at the school she works at, My cousin is hosting one in her girl scout troupe, My niece is hosting one with her MDO group. I can't believe the support they are sharing with their little cousin (as my niece calls her). Many others are sending e-mails and sharing her vision. Thank You! You are all so special to this sweet vision.

From Carly's mom.

Formula for Haiti

I am Carly. I am ten years old. My birthday was last week. I started to think of what I wanted for my birthday but then I remembered the babies in Haiti. I have been reading about them and my mom shows me a blog from a rescue center in Haiti. I want to help them. I decided instead of presents for my birthday that I would like to have a baby formula drive. I am very excited about collecting this formula. My dream is to have 5 truckloads to send to Haiti. My mom is going to Haiti in May so maybe she can take it with her. If not I will find a way to send it there.

I have talked to my Principal and I may be able to have the drive at school. A lot of people said that they are going to send me some money to get formula.

This is the blog I have been reading. This place is called Real Hope for Haiti. I will be sending the formula there and also to another place called Children's Lifeline.

This is a picture of some of the kids at the Rescue Center for Real Hope for Haiti.

They are all so cute. I want to help them.

Do you want to help them too?
